Stamp Duty Stamped Out

Wahey!

Great news in the UK budget today.

The pointless, ancient tax of 1% on the price of a house has been abolished for properties under £250,000.

That's gonna save me a couple of grand when I do buy, so I treated myself to an extra spoonful of ice cream tonight.

Still got to find a house, but a tax that had nothing to do with stamps, and had no sense of duty is no more a thorn in my house hunting side.
